Pat, I absolutely agree. I’m discovering (or maybe re-discovering) that there are lots of ways God communicates with us — like you said, he makes his will known to us. And sometimes if we’re blind or deaf to one way, he’ll try another. But nothing beats that ultimate certainty when it’s absolutely clear, when we “know in our knower”.

I like that phrase, the peanut butter of daily concerns! I also like the fact that you’re addressing the fact that God DOES make His will known to us….it’s up to us to figure out HOW. My favorite expression is that “I know in my knower.” There are times when we sort of feel like it’s God, or we hope that it’s God, but when I know in my knower….then I really know it IS God!

Seems most of the “big” questions I’ve ever faced were “answered” through the affirmation of a friend(s) – an almost restating word for word the thoughts I’d been carrying around already. And amazingly, they (the friend) didn’t even know, until later, what I’d been carrying, perplexing over, or that they had indeed provided the affirmation.

Great post! And for selfish reasons, I hope your “what’s next” includes the continuation of the posts!!

I’ve never heard ‘a voice’, but I’ve certainly been shoved before! Kind of like being thrown into a hot fire; an urge to do something I was too afraid to do. An inspiration to do it right and this fire brought a warm comfort, assuring me I was safe in doing it.

Though, doing briefly and maintaining are both very different. Eventually I always end up as me being me, imperfect
